The Dehradun International Film Festival is all set to start from September 21 with a view to provide a platform to connect the rich and great content with local audiences.
Addressing the media on Monday, writer-producer and actor Vivek Vaswani said: “Dehradun International Film Festival has made filmmakers out of college students… I am delighted to be associated with DIFF and am hopeful of interacting, teaching and counseling the youth, students and those who are hungry to know more about cinema.”
Director Navin Batra said “I expect DIFF to grow into a major hub for world cinema and I am really grateful that people like Rajesh Sharma love cinema enough to bring it to Dehradun.
Deepu Kumar producer at Peafowl Productions (P) ltd. adds “The festival will showcase a wide array of short films, Award winning Indian and International award-winning films and he is going to announce his forthcoming film “Kyun Hota Hai Pyar” which will be Directed by Navin Batra in Dehradun Film Festival. Deepu Kumar also has many project in his name as Executive Producer.
The fourth edition will not only witness renowned people from the film industry like Ramesh Sippy, Sharman Joshi, Vivek Vaswani and Ace Director Navin Batra but will also showcase distinguished writers and guests from the domain of art, culture and other social segments.
Rajesh Sharma, the Festival Director, said the event will provide a platform that connects the rich and great content with local audiences.
